LEZ 2012 Step by Step Guide From Vortex Exhausts:
  1. Check your vehicle(s) compliance at TFL web site.
  2. If not compliant we can help you find the right solution.
  3. Arrange for your vehicle to be booked in.
  4. We fit the filter fitted to your vehicle(s).
  5. Our accredited test station checks your  vehicle's emissions.
  6. We give you the certificate allowing you to apply to VOSA to get your vehicle(s) registered. This may take up to 10  days.
  7. Every year you need to Re-test emissions & renew test certificate(s).
  • Don’t wait until the last minute. Organise your vehicle’s fitment now to avoid the rush.
  • Remember it can take up to 10 days to get a vehicle registered by VOSA
  • For fleets of vehicles we can organise an orderly schedule of fitment
  • From Jan 3rd it will cost you either £100 or £200 per day to enter the London LEZ if your vehicle is not compliant.

The London Low Emission Zone covers most of Greater London within the M25 boundary. First introduced in 2008 it will move into its 3rd and 4th phase from January 2012, including for the first time Light Commercial vehicles and minibuses.

Transport for London (TfL) estimates that some 150,000 vehicles will be affected. Charges of £100 per day for LCV & £200 per day for HGV, buses and all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes will apply to vehicles who do not comply with Euro 3 & 4 engine standards.
