The London Low Emission Zone covers most of Greater London within the M25 boundary. First introduced in 2008 it will move into its 3rd and 4th phase from January 2012, including for the first time Light Commercial vehicles and minibuses.

Transport for London (TfL) estimates that some 150,000 vehicles will be affected. Charges of £100 per day for LCV & £200 per day for HGV, buses and all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes will apply to vehicles who do not comply with Euro 3 & 4 engine standards.
